Today I chaired a periodic meeting called “Mesyuarat Khas Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan” where we discussed various operational and policy issues on technical matters with all Deputies Director General of Health, Heads of Divisions and State Health Directors. Among issues we discussed include diseases and outbreak control including dengue, primary care services, hospital services, health promotion/ education, services development, research, health technology assessment, nursing care and many others. This meeting is held every 2-3 months. Meeting today was held at Penang hosted by the State Health Department of Penang.
