STATUS TERKINI KES DISAHKAN COVID-19 YANG TELAH PULIH

Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa terdapat 70 kes yang telah pulih dan dibenarkan discaj pada hari ini. Ini menjadikan jumlah kumulatif kes yang telah pulih sepenuhnya dari COVID-19 dan telah discaj dari wad adalah sebanyak 5,351 kes (78.5 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

STATUS TERKINI KES COVID-19 DI MALAYSIA

Sehingga 14 Mei 2020 pukul 12:00 tengah hari, terdapat 40 kes, baharu yang telah dilaporkan, di mana 31 kes adalah di kalangan bukan warganegara Malaysia. Ingin dimaklumkan juga, bahawa tiada kes import yang dilaporkan hari ini.

Oleh itu, jumlah kes positif COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 6,819 kes dan jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan COVID-19 adalah 1,356 kes.

Sehingga kini, seramai 16 kes positif COVID-19 sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU). Daripada jumlah tersebut, empat (4) kes memerlukan bantuan pernafasan.

Daripada maklumat terkini yang dilaporkan ke Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) Kebangsaan, dukacita dimaklumkan bahawa terdapat pertambahan satu (1) lagi kes kematian berkaitan COVID-19. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 112 kes (1.64 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes):

• Kes kematian ke-112 (kes ke-6780) merupakan lelaki warganegara Malaysia berumur 39 tahun. Beliau mempunyai sejarah penyakit injap jantung, serta kemalangan pada awal tahun mengakibatkan beliau patah kedua-dua tulang utama di kaki dan sukar bergerak sendiri. Beliau disahkan meninggal dunia pada 12 Mei 2020 jam 9.52 malam di wad kecemasan Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Pahang.

KKM mengucapkan takziah kepada ahli keluarga beliau.

STATUS TERKINI KLUSTER-KLUSTER COVID-19 BERKAITAN MADRASAH TAHFIZ

Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa susulan penularan kes COVID-19 di kalangan peserta perhimpunan di Seri Petaling, KKM telah menjalankan pengesanan kes secara aktif (Active Case Detection) dan pendekatan tertumpu (targeted approach) kepada madrasah-madrasah tahfiz iaitu saringan dan persampelan pelajar, guru dan kakitangan dari madrasah, tahfiz, sekolah pondok dan kontak-kontak rapat mereka yang berkait rapat dengan perhimpunan tersebut.

Sehingga 14 Mei 2020 terdapat sebanyak enam (6) buah kluster COVID-19 yang melibatkan madrasah tahfiz. Empat (4) kluster ini adalah merupakan subkluster kepada perhimpunan di Seri Petaling, manakala dua (2) lagi masih dalam siasatan.

Kluster Madrasah di Solok Duku telah dikenal pasti sebagai kluster terbaharu berkaitan madrasah tahfiz. Setakat ini seramai 107 pelajar, guru dan ahli keluarga telah disaring, di mana:

• Dua (2) kes positif COVID-19 di kalangan 35 orang pelajar;
• Tiada kes positif di kalangan 10 orang guru dan kakitangan madrasah
• Dua (2) kes positif COVID-19 di kalangan 62 ahli keluarga guru, kakitangan dan pelajar.

Status terkini bagi kluster lain-lain madrasah adalah seperti berikut:

Sehingga kini, seramai 19,209 orang pelajar, guru dan kakitangan telah dikenal pasti dari sebanyak 370 buah madrasah dan pusat tahfiz di seluruh Malaysia. Daripada jumlah keseluruhan ini sebanyak 12,384 sampel telah diuji (iaitu 64.5 peratus) dan keputusannya adalah seperti berikut:

• 635 kes positif COVID-19;
• 10,755 kes negatif COVID-19;
• 994 kes masih menunggu keputusan.

Berdasarkan keputusan saringan ini, didapati kadar positif di kalangan kumpulan berisiko ini adalah 5.1 peratus. Jika dibandingkan dengan situasi pada satu (1) minggu lalu (7 Mei 2020), kadar positif di kalangan kumpulan berisiko ini adalah 4.4 peratus. Tren kenaikan kadar positif ini adalah membimbangkan kerana ia menunjukkan kebarangkalian untuk menjangkiti orang lain di kalangan kumpulan ini adalah semakin meningkat.

Daripada siasatan yang telah dijalankan oleh pihak KKM, didapati bahawa 539 orang daripada 635 orang yang dikesan positif COVID-19 tidak mempunyai sebarang gejala saluran pernafasan (iaitu 84.5 peratus). Ini seterusnya boleh mengakibatkan penularan COVID-19 yang lebih meluas di kalangan ahli keluarga mereka dan juga masyarakat setempat, sekiranya langkah-langkah pencegahan tidak diambil.

Sehubungan itu, KKM telah membangunkan beberapa saranan berikut sebagai pelan tindakan, iaitu:

1. Pelajar madrasah / pusat tahfiz yang sudah pulang ke rumah ibubapa atau penjaga, dimohon menghubungi Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah (PKD), Klinik Kesihatan atau Hospital saringan KKM yang berdekatan untuk menjalani persampelan ujian COVID-19.
2. Pelajar yang belum pulang, diminta supaya kekal berada di madrasah atau pusat tahfiz, serta menghubungi Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah (PKD) atau Klinik Kesihatan saringan terdekat agar dapat dijalankan aktiviti persampelan.
3. Kerjasama dari tuan punya atau pihak pengurusan madrasah juga dialukan untuk menghubungi PKD yang berdekatan untuk memberi maklumat yang diperlukan berkaitan pelajar atau kakitangan di pusat masing-masing agar KKM boleh menjalankan tindakan pendekatan tertumpu yang berkaitan.

NASIHAT KESIHATAN BERKAITAN COVID-19

KKM ingin menasihatkan orang ramai supaya patuh kepada 3C dan 3W yang sering disarankan oleh KKM:

• Elakkan 3C: iaitu elakkan kawasan yang sesak (Crowded place), elakkan kawasan yang sempit (Confined space), dan elak bertutur dengan jarak yang dekat (Close conversation).
• Amalkan 3W: iaitu kerap mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun (Wash), sangat digalakkan memakai alat penutup hidung dan mulut (face mask) di tempat awam atau jika bergejala (Wear), dan (Warn) iaitu amaran dari KKM yang lebih berkonsep peringatan seperti:
  • Elak bersalaman / bersentuhan;
  • Amalkan etika batuk dan bersin;
  • Lakukan aktiviti disinfeksi;
  • Duduk di rumah dan hanya keluar sekiranya ada urusan penting;
  • Dapatkan rawatan jika bergejala.

KKM akan terus memantau perkembangan kejadian jangkitan di dalam negara, dan juga luar negara melalui maklumat yang diperolehi daripada pihak Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO). Orang ramai akan sentiasa dimaklumkan sebarang perkembangan terkini mengenainya. Begitu juga, KKM akan memastikan langkah pencegahan dan kawalan yang sewajarnya adalah dilaksanakan secara berterusan.

UPDATES ON THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)

SITUATION IN MALAYSIA

Current Status of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Who Have Recovered

14 May 2020 – The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 70 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 5,351 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well (78.5% of total cumulative cases).

Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia

14 May 2020, 12 pm – A total of 40 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today, of which 31 cases are amongst non-Malaysians. There are no imported cases reported today.

Cumulatively there are now 6,819 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,356 active and infective COVID-19 cases.

Currently, 16 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, four (4) cases are on ventilation support.

Regretfully, one (1) additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 112 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.64% of total cumulative cases):

1. Death #112: Case 6,780 is a 39 year-old Malaysian man who has a history of valvular heart disease and suffered a recent accident earlier this year that caused fractures of major bones of both lower limbs resulting in limited mobility. He was pronounced dead on 12 May 2020, 9.52 pm at the emergency department of Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital, Pahang.

Current Status of Clusters Related to the Madrasah Tahfiz (Religious Schools)

Following the transmission of COVID-19 infection amongst participants of the Seri Petaling gathering, MOH has conducted active case detection and used a targeted approach for madrasah tahfiz, namely screening and sampling of students, teachers and staff from madrasah tahfiz, sekolah pondok and their close contacts who were related to the gathering.

As of 14 May 2020, there are six (6) COVID-19 clusters involving madrasah tahfiz. Four (4) of these clusters are sub-clusters to the Sri Petaling gathering, while two (2) clusters are still under investigation.

The madrasah cluster in Solok Duku has been identified as the latest madrasah tahfiz cluster. To date, a total of 107 students, teachers and family members have been screened, of which:

• Two (2) confirmed COVID-19 cases amongst the 35 students
• No positive cases amongst the 10 teachers and staff of the madrasah
• Two (2) confirmed COVID-19 cases amongst the 62 family members of teachers, staff and students.

The current status of the other madrasah clusters is shown in Table 1:

To date, a total of 19,209 students, teachers and staff have been identified from 370 madrasah and tahfiz centers across Malaysia. Out these, 12,384 samples have been tested (i.e. 64.5%) and the results are as follows:

• 635 confirmed COVID-19 cases
• 10,755 individuals with negative results
• 994 individuals with results pending

Based on these screening results, the positive rate of this at-risk group is 5.1%. Compared to the situation one week ago (7 May 2020), the positive rate of this at-risk group was 4.4%. This increasing trend of positive rates is of concern as it shows that the probability of infecting others in this group is increasing.

Based on MOH’s investigation, it was found that 539 out of 635 people diagnosed with COVID-19 had no respiratory symptoms (84.5%). This in turn could lead to greater transmission of COVID-19 infection among their family members and the local community if preventive and precautionary measures are not taken.

In this regard, MOH has developed the following recommendations as a plan of action i.e.:

1. Madrasah and tahfiz centres’ students who have returned home to their parents or guardians are requested to contact the nearest District Health Office, MOH screening health clinic or MOH screening hospital to undergo COVID-19 testing.

2. Students who have not returned home are requested to remain in the madrasah or tahfiz centre and to contact the nearest District Health Office or MOH screening health clinic to undergo COVID-19 testing.

3. Cooperation from the owners or management of the madrasah is also required to contact the nearest District Health Office to provide the necessary information regarding their students or staff at their centres to enable MOH to carry out the targeted approach actions.

Health Advisory on COVID-19

MOH advises the public to comply the 3Cs and 3Ws that are often recommended by MOH:

• Avoid the 3Cs: Crowded places; Confined spaces; Close conversations

• Practice the 3Ws: Wash hands frequently with water and soap; Wearing facemasks is advisable in public areas or if symptomatic; Warn self and others for the following

• Avoid shaking hands or touching others
• Practice good coughing and sneezing etiquette
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces
• Stay at home
• Seek treatment if symptomatic

MOH will continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation, both in the country as well as internationally, based on available information from the World Health Organization (WHO). The public will be continuously updated on the latest information. In addition, MOH will ensure that appropriate preventive and control measures are continuously implemented.
