STATUS TERKINI KES DISAHKAN COVID-19 YANG TELAH PULIH

Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa terdapat 59 kes yang telah pulih dan dibenarkan discaj pada hari ini. Ini menjadikan jumlah kumulatif kes yang telah pulih sepenuhnya dari COVID-19 dan telah discaj dari wad adalah sebanyak 5,571 kes (80.8 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

STATUS TERKINI KES COVID-19 DI MALAYSIA

Sehingga 17 Mei 2020 pukul 12:00 tengah hari, terdapat 22 kes, baharu yang telah dilaporkan. Oleh itu, jumlah kes positif COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 6,894 kes dan jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan COVID-19 adalah 1,210 kes. Ingin dimaklumkan daripada 22 kes baru yang dilaporkan, lima (5) adalah kes import yang mendapat jangkitan di luar negara, manakala 17 kes adalah penularan tempatan di mana sembilan (9) kes adalah bukan warganegara Malaysia.

Sehingga kini, terdapat 13 kes positif COVID-19 yang sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU). Daripada jumlah tersebut, tujuh (7) kes memerlukan bantuan pernafasan.

Daripada maklumat terkini yang dilaporkan ke Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) Kebangsaan, dimaklumkan bahawa tiada kes kematian berkaitan COVID-19 setakat ini. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia kekal sebanyak 113 kes (1.64 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

WASPADA IMPAK NEGATIF PERGERAKAN MERENTAS NEGERI TERHADAP SITUASI PENULARAN COVID-19

Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa KKM khuatir melihat pengingkatan pergerakan dan perjalanan individu merentas negeri, terutamanya menjelang perayaan yang bakal tiba.

Seperti yang telah diumumkan oleh Yang Berhormat Menteri Kanan (Kluster Keselamatan), pemeriksaan yang telah dijalankan oleh pihak Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) pada 15 Mei 2020 mendapati bahawa sebanyak 508 kenderaan telah cuba merentas negeri atas alasan mahu pulang ke kampung. Jumlah ini telah meningkat pada 16 Mei 2020, iaitu kepada 1,248 kenderaan yang cuba merentas negeri untuk pulang ke kampung. Mereka telah diarah berpatah balik oleh PDRM.

KKM menghargai usaha dan berterima kasih atas tindakan penguatkuasaan oleh pihak PDRM bagi memastikan pematuhan masyarakat kepada syarat-syarat PKPB terus kekal tinggi. Ini penting supaya orang ramai tidak menyalahgunakan kelonggaran yang telah diberikan oleh Kerajaan.

Sehingga 17 Mei 2020, sebanyak 971 kes positif COVID-19 (atau 14.1 peratus) daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes COVID-19 (6,894 kes) telah mempunyai sejarah merentas negeri. Tambahan pula, sebanyak 18 kluster daripada jumlah keseluruhan 49 kluster yang pernah dicatatkan di Malaysia juga adalah berkaitan dengan aktiviti merentas negeri. Sepuluh (10) daripada kluster-kluster tersebut adalah masih aktif.

Kes-kes positif COVID-19 yang berkait rapat dengan aktiviti merentas negeri adalah amat membimbangkan, terutama sekiranya ia terus-menerus berlaku walaupun selepas penguatkuasaan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Bersyarat (PKPB). Masyarakat harus waspada semasa tempoh perayaan yang bakal tiba kerana ini mungkin menjadi pemangkin kepada penularan jangkitan COVID-19 ke kawasan-kawasan yang kini telah mencapai status Zon Hijau.

NASIHAT KESIHATAN BERKAITAN COVID-19

Tindakan pembendungan wabak COVID-19 di Negara kita sememangnya merupakan tanggungjawab setiap seorang Rakyat Malaysia. Adalah amat penting pemerkasaan awam termasuk pemerkasaan komuniti, keluarga dan individu. Sepertimana yang juga disarankan oleh Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO). Oleh itu, tindakan ini sewajarnya dijadikan satu kelaziman dalam kehidupan seharian selagi COVID-19 masih wujud.

Semua peringkat dan lapisan masyarakat perlu mengambil tanggungjawab sosial (social responsibility) dalam memerangi wabak COVID-19 di Malaysia dengan kekal patuh kepada S.O.P iaitu:

• S:Syarat-syarat seperti yang ditetapkan di bawah PKPB;
• O:Orang yang berisiko tinggi seperti kanak-kanak, bayi, warga emas dan orang kurang upaya (OKU) perlu dilindungi, individu tidak sihat dan bergejala dikehendaki segera menjalani pemeriksaan kesihatan;
• P:Penjarakan sosial (social distancing) diamalkan pada setiap masa iaitu sekurang-kurangnya 1 meter.

Orang ramai turut diingatkan supaya patuh kepada 3C dan 3W seperti disarankan oleh KKM:

• Elakkan 3C: iaitu elakkan kawasan yang sesak (Crowded place), elakkan kawasan yang sempit (Confined space), dan elak bertutur dengan jarak yang dekat (Close conversation).
• Amalkan 3W: iaitu kerap mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun (Wash), sangat digalakkan memakai alat penutup hidung dan mulut (face mask) di tempat awam atau jika bergejala (Wear), dan (Warn) iaitu amaran dari KKM yang lebih berkonsep peringatan seperti:
  • Elak bersalaman / bersentuhan;
  • Amalkan etika batuk dan bersin;
  • Lakukan aktiviti disinfeksi;
  • Duduk di rumah dan hanya keluar sekiranya ada urusan penting sahaja;
  • Dapatkan rawatan segera jika bergejala.

KKM akan terus memantau perkembangan kejadian jangkitan di dalam negara, dan juga luar negara melalui maklumat yang diperolehi daripada pihak WHO). Orang ramai akan sentiasa dimaklumkan sebarang perkembangan terkini mengenainya. Begitu juga, KKM akan memastikan langkah pencegahan dan kawalan yang sewajarnya adalah dilaksanakan secara berterusan.

SITUATION IN MALAYSIA

Current Status of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Who Have Recovered

17 May 2020 – The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 59 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 5,571 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (80.8% of total cumulative cases).

Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia

17 May 2020, 12 pm – A total of 22 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 6,894 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,210 active and infective COVID-19 cases. Of the 22 additional cases reported today, five (5) are imported cases who were infected overseas, while 17 cases are local transmission involving nine (9) non-Malaysians.

Currently, 13 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, seven (7) cases are on ventilation support.

Fortunately, no additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there remains 113 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.64% of total cumulative cases). 

Being Concerned of the Negative Impact of Movements Across States on the Transmission of COVID-19

MOH is very concerned about the increase in individual movements and inter-state travel, especially ahead of the upcoming festivities.

As announced by the Senior Minister (Security Cluster), enforcement by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) on 15 May 2020 found that as many as 508 vehicles were attempting to travel inter-state back to their respective hometowns. This number has increased to 1,248 vehicles on 16 May 2020. They have been ordered to turn around by the PDRM.

MOH appreciates the efforts and thanks PDRM for the enforcement to ensure high compliance of the public towards the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO). This is important to ensure that the public do not abuse the flexibility afforded by the Government.

As of 17 May 2020, a total of 971 confirmed COVID-19 cases (14.1%) out of the cumulative 6,894 confirmed COVID-19 cases have a history of inter-state travel. In addition, 18 clusters out of the total 49 clusters recorded in Malaysia were also related to inter-state travel. Ten of these clusters are still active.

Confirmed COVID-19 cases that are closely related to inter-state travel are particularly troubling, especially if they continue to occur even after the enforcement of the CMCO. The public should be concerned during the upcoming festivities as this may be a catalyst for transmission of COVID-19 infection to the current Green status areas.

Health Advisory on COVID-19

Managing the COVID-19 pandemic in the country is the responsibility of every Malaysian. Public empowerment, including empowering the communities, families and individuals, is very important as recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Therefore, these actions must be inculcated into everyday life as long as COVID-19 exists.

All levels of the society must take social responsibility in combating the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia by adhering to THiS:

• T: Terms and SOPs set under the CMCO
• Hi: High-risk groups such as children, infants, older adults and the disabled must be protected, and if unwell with symptoms, to seek early treatment
• S: Safe social distancing is practiced at all times, of at least 1 metre away from others

The public is also advised to adhere to the 3Cs and 3Ws as recommended by MOH:

• Avoid the 3Cs: Crowded places; Confined spaces; and Close conversations
• Practice the 3Ws: Wash hands frequently with water and soap; Wearing facemasks are strongly encouraged in public areas or if symptomatic; Warn self and others for the following, in line with MOH’s advisories:
  • Avoid shaking hands or touching others
  • Practice good coughing and sneezing etiquette
  • Disinfect frequently touched surfaces
  • Stay at home and go out only for important matters
  • Seek treatment if symptomatic

MOH will continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation, both in the country as well as internationally, based on available information from the WHO. The public will be continuously updated on the latest information. In addition, MOH will ensure that appropriate preventive and control measures are continuously implemented.
