STATUS TERKINI KES DISAHKAN COVID-19 YANG TELAH PULIH

Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa terdapat 31 kes yang telah pulih dan dibenarkan discaj pada hari ini. Ini menjadikan jumlah kumulatif kes yang telah pulih sepenuhnya dari COVID-19 dan telah discaj dari wad adalah sebanyak 5,646 kes (80.9 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

STATUS TERKINI KES COVID-19 DI MALAYSIA

Sehingga 19 Mei 2020 pukul 12:00 tengah hari, terdapat 37 kes baharu yang telah dilaporkan. Oleh itu, jumlah kes positif COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 6,978 kes dan jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan COVID-19 adalah 1,218 kes. Ingin dimaklumkan daripada 37 kes baharu yang dilaporkan, dua (2) kes adalah kes import yang mendapat jangkitan di luar negara, manakala 35 kes adalah penularan tempatan di mana 22 kes adalah bukan warganegara Malaysia.

Sehingga kini, terdapat 11 kes positif COVID-19 yang sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU). Daripada jumlah tersebut, enam (6) kes memerlukan bantuan pernafasan.

Daripada maklumat terkini yang dilaporkan ke Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) Kebangsaan, dukacita dimaklumkan bahawa terdapat pertambahan satu (1) lagi kes kematian berkaitan COVID-19. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 114 kes (1.63 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes):

• Kes kematian ke-114 (kes ke-6942) merupakan wanita warganegara Malaysia berumur 77 tahun dan mempunyai latar belakang penyakit kencing manis, darah tinggi dan penyakit barah hati. Beliau telah dirawat di sebuah pusat perubatan di Pahang dan disahkan meninggal dunia pada 18 Mei 2020 jam 3.09 pagi.

KKM mengucapkan takziah kepada ahli keluarga beliau.

PATUHI PROSEDUR OPERASI STANDARD (SOP) SEMASA MEMBELI-BELAH

Menjelang musim perayaan ini, didapati ramai yang sudah memulakan aktiviti-aktiviti pembelian misalnya barang makanan, baju raya, perhiasan rumah dan lain-lain sebagai persiapan menyambut Hari Raya. Ini termasuk juga mereka yang membeli belah barangan harian.

Meskipun ramai pembeli dan peniaga yang akur kepada Prosedur Operasi Standard (SOP) yang ditetapkan, masih terdapat segelintir masyarakat yang didapati tidak acuh dan secara terang-terangan melanggar SOP yang telah ditetapkan di pusat beli-belah, kedai runcit dan lain-lain pusat pembelian. Ramai di kalangan netizen telah menularkan imej dan video masyarakat yang tidak patuh kepada SOP. Ketidakpatuhan ini sememangnya membimbangkan.

Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) telah membangunkan satu SOP Peruncitan yang bertindak sebagai garis panduan bagi semua pengusaha, peniaga dan pemilik perniagaan yang telah dibenarkan beroperasi. SOP tersebut adalah seperti berikut:

1. Memastikan penjarakan sosial (social distancing) diamalkan sepanjang masa;
2. Mengehadkan laluan keluar masuk ke premis dan kemasukan pelanggan ke dalam premis pada satu-satu masa bergantung kepada saiz premis untuk mengelakkan kesesakan;
3. Memastikan semua staf, pembekal dan pelanggan melalui proses saringan suhu badan sebelum masuk ke premis;
4. Menyediakan hand sanitizer di pintu masuk;
5. Mewajibkan pemakaian alat penutup hidung dan mulut (face mask) oleh pekerja ketika berurusan; dan
6. Menjalankan proses nyah kuman dan pembersihan premis sepanjang tempoh operasi.

SOP ini merangkumi kompleks beli-belah, pasaraya / pasaraya besar, departmental store, butik / kedai pakaian, kedai serbaneka / mini-mart dan pelbagai peruncitan yang lain. Majikan-majikan peruncitan juga perlu menyelaras dan memantau kesemua garis panduan serta syarat-syarat yang telah ditetapkan ini dipatuhi oleh para pekerja dan pelanggan.

KKM juga menyeru kepada orang ramai supaya elakkan daripada aktiviti membeli-belah di tempat-tempat yang sesak dan sempit, di mana penjarakan sosial sukar diamalkan. Ibu bapa serta penjaga juga digesa untuk mengelak membawa kanak-kanak atau bayi ke pusat beli-belah serta tempat awam yang sesak bagi melindungi mereka daripada risiko jangkitan COVID-19.

Harus diingati bahawa walaupun jumlah kes COVID-19 yang dilaporkan adalah semakin menurun, namun masih terdapat bahaya jangkitan COVID-19 di kalangan masyarakat. Oleh itu, kita mesti menjaga diri kita, keluarga kita dan juga komuniti kita daripada jangkitan COVID-19.

NASIHAT KESIHATAN BERKAITAN COVID-19

KKM ingin menasihatkan orang ramai agar mengambil tanggungjawab sosial (social responsibility) dalam memerangi wabak COVID-19 di Malaysia dengan kekal patuh kepada S.O.P iaitu:

• S:Syarat-syarat seperti yang ditetapkan di bawah PKPB;
• O:Orang yang berisiko tinggi seperti kanak-kanak, bayi, warga emas dan orang kurang upaya (OKU) perlu dilindungi, individu tidak sihat dan bergejala dikehendaki segera menjalani pemeriksaan kesihatan;
• P:Penjarakan sosial (social distancing) diamalkan pada setiap masa iaitu sekurang-kurangnya 1 meter.

Orang ramai turut diingatkan supaya patuh kepada 3S / 3C dan 3W seperti disarankan oleh KKM:

• Elakkan 3S / 3C: iaitu elakkan kawasan yang sesak (Crowded place), elakkan kawasan yang sempit (Confined space) dan elak sembang atau bertutur dengan jarak yang dekat (Close conversation).
• Amalkan 3W: iaitu kerap mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun (Wash), sangat digalakkan memakai alat penutup hidung dan mulut (face mask) di tempat awam atau jika bergejala (Wear), dan (Warn) iaitu amaran dari KKM yang lebih berkonsep peringatan seperti:
  • Elak bersalaman / bersentuhan;
  • Amalkan etika batuk dan bersin;
  • Lakukan aktiviti disinfeksi;
  • Duduk di rumah dan hanya keluar sekiranya ada urusan penting sahaja;
  • Dapatkan rawatan segera jika bergejala.

KKM akan terus memantau perkembangan kejadian jangkitan di dalam negara, dan juga luar negara melalui maklumat yang diperolehi daripada pihak Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO). Orang ramai akan sentiasa dimaklumkan sebarang perkembangan terkini mengenainya. Begitu juga, KKM akan memastikan langkah pencegahan dan kawalan yang sewajarnya adalah dilaksanakan secara berterusan.

UPDATES ON THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)

SITUATION IN MALAYSIA

Current Status of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Who Have Recovered

19 May 2020 – The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 31 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 5,646 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (80.9% of total cumulative cases).

Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia

19 May 2020, 12 pm – A total of 37 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 6,978 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,218 active and infective COVID-19 cases. Of the 37 additional cases reported today, two (2) are imported cases who were infected overseas, while 35 cases are local transmission involving 22 non-Malaysians.

Currently, 11 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, six (6) cases are on ventilation support.

Regretfully, one (1) additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 114 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.63% of total cumulative cases):

1. Death #114: Case 6,942 is a 77 year-old Malaysian woman who has a history of diabetes, hypertension and liver cancer. She was admitted into a medical centre in Pahang and was pronounced dead on 18 May 2020, 3.09 am.

MOH conveys condolences to the family members.

Complying to the Standard Operating Procedure When Out Shopping

During this festive season, it appears that many have started shopping for food items, clothes, home decorations and other related items for the Hari Raya celebration. This includes those who shop for everyday items.

Although many shoppers and traders are complying with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), there are still members of the public who are indifferent and openly violate the SOP set up for shopping malls, grocery stores and other shopping centres. Many netizens have shared images and videos of individuals violating the SOP, and this situation is very alarming.

The National Security Council (NSC) has developed a Retail SOP that acts as a guide for all business owners and traders who are authorised to operate. The SOP is as follows:

1. Ensure that social distancing is practiced at all times
2. Restrict access to the premises and limit the number of customers present in the premises at any one time depending on the size of the premises to avoid congestion
3. Ensure that all staff, suppliers and customers undergo body temperature screening before entering the premises
4. Provide hand sanitisers at the entrance
5. Require the use of face masks by employees when working
6. Carry out disinfection and cleaning process throughout the opening hours

This SOP is applicable in all shopping complexes, shopping malls, departmental stores, boutiques, clothing stores, general stores, mini-marts and other retail outlets. The employers will also need to coordinate and monitor that all published guidelines and requirements are complied with by all employees and customers.

MOH also urges the public to avoid shopping in crowded and cramped areas, where social distancing is difficult. Parents and guardians are also urged to avoid bringing children and infants to shopping malls and crowded public places to protect them from the risk of COVID-19 infection.

It should be noted that although the number of reported confirmed COVID-19 cases is declining, there is still a danger of COVID-19 infection in the community. Therefore, we must protect ourselves, our families and our communities from the COVID-19 infection.

Health Advisory on COVID-19

MOH advises the public to take social responsibility in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia, by continuing to adhere to THiS:

• T: Terms and SOPs set under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO)
• Hi: High-risk groups such as children, infants, older adults and the disabled must be protected, and if unwell with symptoms, to seek early treatment
• S: Safe social distancing is practiced at all times, of at least 1 metre away from others

The public is also advised to adhere to the 3Cs and 3Ws as recommended by MOH:

• Avoid the 3Cs: Crowded places; Confined spaces; and Close conversations
• Practice the 3Ws: Wash hands frequently with water and soap; Wearing facemasks are strongly encouraged in public areas or if symptomatic; Warn self and others for the following, in line with MOH’s advisories:
  • Avoid shaking hands or touching others
  • Practice good coughing and sneezing etiquette
  • Disinfect frequently touched surfaces
  • Stay at home and go out only for important matters
  • Seek treatment if symptomatic

MOH will continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation, both in the country as well as internationally, based on available information from the WHO. The public will be continuously updated on the latest information. In addition, MOH will ensure that appropriate preventive and control measures are continuously implemented.
