Kenyataan Akhbar KPK 12 Julai 2020 – Situasi Semasa Jangkitan Penyakit Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) di Malaysia

STATUS TERKINI KES DISAHKAN COVID-19 YANG TELAH PULIH

Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa terdapat empat (4) kes yang telah pulih dan dibenarkan discaj pada hari ini. Jumlah kumulatif kes yang telah pulih sepenuhnya dari COVID-19 dan telah discaj daripada wad adalah sebanyak 8,519 kes (97.7 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

STATUS TERKINI KES COVID-19 DI MALAYSIA

Sehingga 12 Julai 2020 pukul 12:00 tengah hari, terdapat 14 kes baharu yang telah dilaporkan. Ini menjadikan jumlah kes positif COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 8,718 kes. Oleh itu, jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan COVID-19 adalah 77 kes. Mereka telah diasingkan dan diberi rawatan.

Ingin dimaklumkan daripada 14 kes baharu yang dilaporkan, tiga (3) kes adalah kes import yang telah mendapat jangkitan di luar negara yang melibatkan semua warganegara Malaysia. Daripada 11 kes penularan di dalam negara pula, tiga (3) kes adalah di kalangan warganegara dan lapan (8) kes adalah di kalangan bukan warganegara Malaysia.

Perincian kes jangkitan dalam negara di kalangan warganegara Malaysia (3 kes) adalah seperti berikut:

  • Sarawak – dua (2) kes:
    • Satu (1) kes saringan bergejala yang telah menjalankan saringan di pusat perubatan di Kuching, dan kemudiannya dimasukkan ke Hospital Umum Sarawak setelah didapati positif COVID-19;
    • Satu (1) kes yang merupakan kontak rapat kes ke-8694 iaitu sebahagian daripada Kluster Kejuruteraan Kuching. Kluster ini akan diperincikan di bawah;
  • Sabah: satu (1) kes saringan pra rujukan ke Hospital Keningau;

Kes jangkitan dalam negara di kalangan bukan warganegara Malaysia (8 kes) pula adalah kes-kes saringan kontak rapat kepada kes ke-8629 dan kes ke-8630 di Depot Tahanan Imigresen (DTI) Sepang.

Sehingga kini, terdapat tiga (3) kes positif COVID-19 yang sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU). Dua (2) kes memerlukan bantuan pernafasan.

Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa tiada pertambahan kes kematian berkaitan COVID-19 dilaporkan pada hari ini. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah kekal sebanyak 122 kes (1.39 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

KLUSTER KEJURUTERAAN KUCHING

KKM ingin memaklumkan sebuah kluster baharu yang telah dikesan di sebuah syarikat kejuruteraan di Kuching. Sehingga 12 Julai 2020 jam 12 tengah hari, sebanyak dua (2) kes positif COVID-19 telah dilaporkan dalam kluster ini.

Kes pertama kluster ini (kes ke-8694), adalah seorang pekerja di syarikat tersebut yang telah mendapatkan rawatan di sebuah pusat perubatan pada 9 Julai 2020 apabila beliau mengalami gejala pernafasan. Beliau didapati positif COVID-19 pada hari yang sama.

Susulan itu, siasatan dan aktiviti saringan kontak rapat telah dijalankan. Setakat ini, seramai 32 kontak rapat beliau telah dikenalpasti dan disaring. Mereka terdiri daripada 16 orang rakan sekerja dan 16 orang ahli keluarga. Berikut adalah keputusan saringan tersebut:

  • 1kes dikesan positif COVID-19;
  • 16 kes negatif; dan
  • 15masih menunggu keputusan.

Langkah pencegahan seperti proses pembersihan dan nyah kuman telah dijalankan di premis syarikat tersebut. Punca jangkitan kluster ini adalah masih di dalam siasatan.

SITUASI TERKINI KLUSTER DEPOT TAHANAN IMIGRESEN (DTI) DI BUKIT JALIL DAN SEPANG

Sehingga 12 Jun 2020 jam 12 tengah hari, sebanyak lapan (8) kes positif baharu telah dilaporkan di Kluster Depot Tahanan Imigresen (DTI) di Sepang, menjadikan jumlah kes positif COVID-19 sebanyak 72 kes daripada 1,477 jumlah saringan.

Lapan (8) kes ini telah dikesan daripada saringan 115  Orang Kena Tahan (OKT). Ini merupakan saringan ulangan iaitu saringan kontak rapat ke atas 115 OKT yang ditempatkan di Blok C pada 10 Julai 2020. Kesemua kes-kes positif kluster ini adalah melibatkan bukan warganegara. Mereka sejak sebelum ini lagi sememangnya telah diasingkan iaitu di dalam DTI Sepang dan kini kes positif COVID=-19 dimasukkan ke hospital untuk rawatan lanjut, justeru tidak membawa risiko penularan kepada masyarakat.

KKM ingin memaklumkan status terkini dua kluster Depot Tahanan Imigresen  yang masih aktif iaitu DTI Bukit Jalil dan DTI Sepang, adalah seperti berikut:

Kes-kes positif COVID-19 di kalangan bukan warganegara di kedua-dua DTI ini adalah dari negara-negara berikut:

  • 191 kes warga India;
  • 173 kes warga Indonesia;
  • 160 kes warga Bangladesh;
  • 91 kes warga Myanmar;
  • 65 kes warga Pakistan;
  • 12 kes warga Sri Lanka;
  • Lima (5) kes warga Nepal;
  • Lima (5) kes warga Filipina;
  • Empat (4) kes warga Kemboja;
  • Tiga (3) kes warga Mesir;
  • Tiga (3) kes warga Nigeria;
  • Dua (2) kes warga Vietnam; dan
  • Satu (1) kes masing-masing daripada negara Laos, Libya, Syria, Jepun.

NASIHAT KESIHATAN BERKAITAN COVID-19

Dalam pada keadaan penularan COVID-19 dalam negara yang didapati terus terkawal, pihak KKM tetap mengingatkan agar orang ramai terus kekal waspada dan amalkan nasihat-nasihat kesihatan yang disarankan oleh KKM iaitu:

  • Elakkan 3S / 3C:iaitu elakkan kawasan yang sesak (Crowded place), elakkan kawasan yang sempit (Confined space) dan elak sembang atau bertutur dengan jarak yang dekat (Close conversation).

  • Amalkan 3W:iaitu kerap mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun (Wash), sangat digalakkan memakai alat pelitup separuh muka (penutup hidung dan mulut – facemask) di tempat awam atau jika bergejala (Wear), dan (Warn) iaitu amaran dari KKM yang lebih berkonsep peringatan seperti:
    • Elakkan bersalaman / bersentuhan;
    • Amalkan etika batuk dan bersin;
    • Dapatkan rawatan segera jika bergejala;
    • Duduk di rumah dan elakkan kunjung-mengunjung;
    • Lakukan aktiviti disinfeksi dan pembersihan di kawasan yang kerap disentuh.

Selain itu, ingatlah kepada S.O.P, iaitu:

  • S:Syarat-syarat seperti yang ditetapkan di bawah Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Pemulihan (PKPP);
  • O:Orang yang berisiko tinggi seperti kanak-kanak, bayi, warga emas dan orang kurang upaya (OKU) perlu dilindungi, individu tidak sihat dan bergejala dikehendaki segera menjalani pemeriksaan kesihatan;
  • P:Penjarakan sosial (social distancing) diamalkan pada setiap masa iaitu sekurang-kurangnya 1 meter.

KKM akan terus memantau perkembangan kejadian jangkitan di dalam negara, dan juga luar negara melalui maklumat yang diperolehi daripada pihak Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO). Orang ramai akan sentiasa dimaklumkan sebarang perkembangan terkini mengenainya. Begitu juga, KKM akan memastikan langkah pencegahan dan kawalan yang sewajarnya adalah dilaksanakan secara berterusan.

Current Status of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Who Have Recovered

The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that four (4) cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 8,519 confirmed COVID-19 cases have recovered (97.7% of total cumulative cases).

Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia

12 July 2020, 12 pm – A total of 14 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 8,718 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 77 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.

Of the 14 additional cases reported today, three (3) are imported cases where infected overseas, all are Malaysians. Of the 11 local transmission cases, three (3) are among Malaysians and eight (8) are among non-Malaysians.

The details of the local transmission cases among Malaysians (3 cases) are as follows:

  • Sarawak – 2 cases
    • 1 case: Symptomatic screening of an individual who was then tested in a medical centre in Kuching and admitted into Sarawak General Hospital when detected positive for COVID-19.
    • 1 case: Close contact to Case 8,694, from the Engineering Cluster in Kuching, detail shown below.
  • Sabah – 1 case: Screening of a patient referred to Keningau Hospital.

The local transmission cases among non-Malaysians (8 cases) are from the screening of detainees who were close contacts of Case 8,629 and Case 8,630 at the Sepang Immigration Detention Centre.

Currently, three (3) confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICUs) and two (2) patients are on ventilation support.

Fortunately, no additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 122 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.39% of total cumulative cases).

Engineering Cluster in Kuching

MOH would like to inform of a new cluster detected at an engineering company in Kuching. As of 12 July 2020, 12 pm, two (2) confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported in this cluster.

The first case of this cluster (Case 8,694) is an employee at the company who had received treatment at a medical centre on 9 July 2020 because of respiratory tract symptoms. The patient was detected to be positive for COVID-19 on the same day.

Following that, investigation and close contact screening were conducted. To date, a total of 32 close contacts have been identified and screened. They consisted of 16 colleagues and 16 family members. The results of the screening are as follows:

  • 1 confirmed COVID-19 case
  • 16 individuals tested negative
  • 15 individuals still awaiting results

Preventive measures such as the cleaning and disinfection have been carried out at the company’s premises. The cause of infection for this cluster is still under investigation.

Current Status of the Bukit Jalil and Sepang Immigration Detention Centre Clusters

As of 12 June 2020, 12 pm, a total of eight (8) new confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported at the Sepang Immigration Detention Centre Cluster bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 72 cases out of 1,477 individuals screened.

These eight (8) cases were detected from the screening of 115 detainees. This was a repeat screening i.e. screening of 115 close contacts among detainees placed in Block C on 10 July 2020. All of the confirmed cases are non-Malaysians. They were already isolated at the Sepang Immigration Detention Centre and now have been admitted to the hospital for further management; and therefore, pose no risk of spreading the infection to the community.

MOH would like to update on the latest status of the two Immigration Detention Centre clusters that are still active i.e. in Bukit Jalil and Sepang (Table 1).

The confirmed COVID-19 cases among non-Malaysians in both the Immigration Detention Centres are from the following nationalities:

  • 191 Indian nationals
  • 173 Indonesian nationals
  • 160 Bangladeshi nationals
  • 91 Myanmar nationals
  • 65 Pakistanis nationals
  • 12 Sri Lankan nationals
  • 5 Nepalese nationals
  • 5 Philippine nationals
  • 4 Cambodian nationals
  • 3 Egyptian nationals
  • 3 Nigerian nationals
  • 2 Vietnamese nationals
  • 1 each from Laos, Libya, Syria and Japan

Health Advisory on COVID-19

Although the local transmission of the COVID-19 infection is under control, MOH urges the public to remain vigilant and continue to practice all of the health advisories issued by the MOH, that includes:

  • Avoid the 3Cs: Crowded places; Confined spaces; and Close conversations
  • Practice the 3Ws: Wash hands frequently with water and soap; Wearing facemasks are strongly encouraged in public areas or if symptomatic; Warn self and others for the following, in line with MOH’s advisories:
    • Avoid shaking hands or touching others
    • Practice good coughing and sneezing etiquette
    • Seek early treatment if symptomatic
    • Stay at home and avoid from visiting others
    • Regularly clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces in common areas

In addition to the SOPs, continue to adhere to THiS:

  • T: Terms set under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO)
  • Hi: High-risk groups such as children, infants, older adults and the disabled must be protected, and if unwell with symptoms, to seek early treatment
  • S: Safe social distancing is practiced at all times, of at least 1 metre away from others

MOH will continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation, both in the country as well as internationally, based on available information from the World Health Organization (WHO). The public will be continuously updated on the latest information. In addition, MOH will ensure that appropriate preventive and control measures are continuously implemented.
