STATUS TERKINI KES DISAHKAN COVID-19 YANG TELAH PULIH

Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa terdapat 18 kes yang telah pulih COVID-19 pada hari ini. Jumlah kumulatif kes yang telah pulih sepenuhnya dari COVID-19 adalah sebanyak 8,702 kes (96.4 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

STATUS TERKINI KES COVID-19 DI MALAYSIA

Sehingga 5 Ogos 2020 pukul 12:00 tengah hari, terdapat 21 kes baharu yang telah dilaporkan. Ini menjadikan jumlah kes positif COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 9,023 kes. Oleh itu, jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan COVID-19 adalah 196 kes. Mereka telah diasingkan dan diberi rawatan.

Ingin dimaklumkan daripada 21 kes baharu yang dilaporkan, 15 kes adalah kes import yang telah mendapat jangkitan di luar negara yang melibatkan warganegara Malaysia. Kes-kes ini akan diringkas di bawah.

Kesemua enam (6) kes penularan di dalam negara adalah di kalangan warganegara Malaysia. Perincian kes penularan COVID-19 dalam negara adalah seperti berikut:

• Kedah:tiga (3) kes daripada Kluster PUI Sivagangga seperti yang diperincikan di bawah;
• Sabah – dua (2) kes:
  • Satu (1) kes saringan pra pembedahan di Hospital Queen Elizabeth(HQE);
  • Satu (1) kes saringan pra prosedur di Hospital Wanita dan Kanak-kanak Sabah (HWKKS);
• Johor:satu (1) kes saringan pra pembedahan di Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru (HSAJB).

Sehingga kini, terdapat dua (2) kes positif COVID-19 sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU). Tiada kes yang memerlukan bantuan pernafasan.

Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa tiada pertambahan kes kematian berkaitan COVID-19 dilaporkan pada hari ini. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah kekal sebanyak 125 kes (1.385 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

KES POSITIF COVID-19 DARI LUAR NEGARA

Seperti yang dimaklumkan di atas,15 kes import yang telah dilaporkan pada hari ini semuanya melibatkan warganegara Malaysia yang telah mendapat jangkitan COVID-19 dari luar negara. Mereka telah pulang ke Malaysia dari negara-negara tersebut:

• Yaman (12 kes);
• Papua New Guinea (1 kes);
• Ivory Coast (1 kes); dan
• United Kingdom (1 kes).

Semua kes import ini adalah di Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. Mereka telah diasingkan di pusat kuarantin selepas ketibaan di Pintu Masuk Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), justeru tidak membawa risiko jangkitan kepada masyarakat setempat. Implementasi kawalan sempadan antarabangsa yang ketat adalah penting bagi mengelakkan berlakunya penularan dalam negara bagi jangkitan COVID-19 yang berpunca dari luar negara.

KES POSITIF BAHARU DIKESAN DALAM KLUSTER PUI SIVAGANGGA

Sehingga 5 Ogos 2020 jam 12 tengah hari, seramai 1,647 orang telah disaring dalam kluster ini. Daripada jumlah ini:

• 24 kes dikesan positif COVID-19;
• 754 negatif; dan
• 869 masih menunggu keputusan.

Pecahan warganegara bagi kes positif kluster ini adalah seperti berikut:

• 19 warganegara Malaysia; dan
• 5 bukan warganegara.

Tiga (3) kes baharu telah dikesan dalam Kluster PUI Sivagangga pada hari ini. Ketiga-tiga kes tersebut dikenalpasti melalui saringan kontak rapat kes positif kluster ini, di mana mereka adalah kes generasi kedua. Dua (2) daripada kes-kes tersebut adalah kontak rapat kepada kes ke-9000 di mana kedua-duanya adalah anak kepada kes tersebut (iaitu kes ke-9021 dan kes ke-9022). Seorang daripada anak beliau telah mengalami gejala saluran pernafasan pada 30 Julai 2020 namun tidak mendapatkan rawatan di mana-mana fasiliti kesihatan.

Kes ketiga (iaitu kes ke-9023) pula adalah kontak rapat kepada kes ke-8976. Beliau telah mengalami gejala demam serta gejala saluran pernafasan pada 2 Ogos 2020 dan telah mendapatkan rawatan di Klinik Kesihatan Taman Selasih, Kulim. Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa terdapat satu mesej tular palsu berkaitan kes ini yang memberikan maklumat terperinci kawasan yang telah beliau lawat. Orang ramai dinasihatkan untuk tidak menyebarkan mesej palsu tersebut kerana ianya adalah tidak tepat. Tindakan pengesanan kes secara aktif akan diteruskan, dan situasi semasa akan dimaklumkan.

Ketiga-tiga kes baharu ini dikesan positif pada 4 Ogos 2020 dan telah dimasukkan ke Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Kedah untuk rawatan.

NASIHAT KESIHATAN BERKAITAN COVID-19

Masyarakat haruslah sentiasa waspada dan terus amalkan nasihat-nasihat yang sering ditekankan oleh KKM sebagai satu kebiasaan baharu dalam kehidupan harian. Antara nasihat-nasihat tersebut adalah seperti berikut:

• Elakkan 3S / 3C :iaitu elakkan kawasan yang sesak (Crowded place), elakkan kawasan yang sempit (Confined space) dan elak sembang atau bertutur dengan jarak yang dekat (Close conversation).

• Amalkan 3W :iaitu kerap mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun (Wash), memakai alat pelitup muka (facemask) di tempat awam yang telah diwajibkan oleh pihak Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) mulai 1 Ogos 2020 atau jika bergejala (Wear), dan (Warn) iaitu amaran dari KKM yang lebih berkonsep peringatan seperti:
  • Elakkan bersalaman / bersentuhan;
  • Amalkan etika batuk dan bersin;
  • Dapatkan rawatan segera jika bergejala;
  • Duduk di rumah dan elakkan kunjung-mengunjung;
  • Lakukan aktiviti disinfeksi dan pembersihan di kawasan yang kerap disentuh.

Patuhlah kepada S.O.P sebagai normal baharu iaitu:

• S :Syarat-syarat seperti yang ditetapkan di bawah Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Pemulihan (PKPP);
• O :Orang yang berisiko tinggi seperti kanak-kanak, bayi, warga emas dan orang kurang upaya (OKU) perlu dilindungi, individu tidak sihat dan bergejala dikehendaki segera menjalani pemeriksaan kesihatan;
• P :Penjarakan fizikal (physical distancing) diamalkan pada setiap masa iaitu sekurang-kurangnya 1 meter.

KKM akan terus memantau perkembangan kejadian jangkitan di dalam negara, dan juga luar negara melalui maklumat yang diperolehi daripada pihak Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO). Orang ramai akan sentiasa dimaklumkan sebarang perkembangan terkini mengenainya. Begitu juga, KKM akan memastikan langkah pencegahan dan kawalan yang sewajarnya adalah dilaksanakan secara berterusan.

UPDATES ON THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)

SITUATION IN MALAYSIA

Current Status of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Who Have Recovered

The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 18 cases have recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 8,702 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (96.4% of total cumulative cases).

Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia

5 August 2020, 12 pm – a total of 21 additional confirmed COVID-19 case were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 9,023 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 196 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.

Of the 21 additional cases reported today, 15 are imported cases who were infected overseas, all involving Malaysians, as detailed below.

All six (6) local transmission cases are amongst Malaysians. The details are as follows:

• Kedah – 3 cases: From the Sivagangga PUI Cluster, as detailed below.
• Sabah – 2 cases:
  • 1 case: From pre-surgery screening in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu.
  • 1 case: From pre-procedural screening in the Sabah Women and Children’s Hospital, Kota Kinabalu.
• Johor – 1 case: From pre-surgery screening in Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Johor Bahru.

Currently, two (2) confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), and no patients require ventilation support.

No additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 125 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.39% of total cumulative cases).

Imported Confirmed COVID-19 Cases from Overseas

As informed above, 15 imported cases are reported today, all involving Malaysians who were infected overseas. They have returned to Malaysia from these countries:

• Yemen (12 cases)
• Papua New Guinea (1 case)
• Ivory Coast (1 case)
• United Kingdom (1 case)

All these imported cases are in Kuala Lumpur. They were isolated at the quarantine centre upon arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), and therefore do not present any risk of infection to the local community. The implementation of strict international border control is important to prevent local transmission of the COVID-19 infection originating from overseas.

Additional Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Detected in the Sivagangga PUI Cluster

As of 5 August 2020, 12 pm, a total of 1,647 individuals have been screened in this cluster. Of these:

• 24 confirmed COVID-19 cases
• 754 individuals tested negative
• 869 individuals awaiting results

The nationalities of the confirmed cases in this cluster are as follows:

• 19 Malaysians
• 5 non-Malaysians

Three (3) additional COVID-19 cases were detected in the Sivagangga PUI Cluster today. All three (3) cases were identified through close contact screening of confirmed cases, whereby they are the second generation of infection. Two (2) cases (Case 9,021 and Case 9,022) were close contacts (children) to Case 9,000. One of the children had respiratory symptoms on 30 July 2020 but did not seek treatment at any health facility.

The third case (Case 9,023) is a close contact to Case 8,976. The case had fever and respiratory symptoms on 2 August 2020 and received treatment at the Taman Selasih Health Clinic, Kulim. There was a fake news that was viralled, providing detailed information of the areas that the case allegedly had visited. The public is advised not to spread this fake news as the information is inaccurate. Investigation and active case detection are still ongoing and the current situation will be updated from time to time.

The three (3) additional cases tested positive for COVID-19 on 4 August 2020 and were admitted into Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, Kedah for treatment.

Health Advisory on COVID-19

The public must always remain vigilant and continue to practice the advice repeatedly emphasised by the MOH as the new normal in daily life. These advices are as follows:

• Avoid the 3Cs: Avoid Crowded places; Confined spaces; and Close conversations.
• Practice the 3Ws: Wash hands frequently with water and soap; Wearing facemasks are now mandatory in public areas (starting from 1 August 2020 as directed by the National Security Council) or highly recommended if symptomatic; Warn self and others for the following, in line with MOH’s advisories:
  • Avoid shaking hands or touching others
  • Practice good coughing and sneezing etiquette
  • Seek early treatment if symptomatic
  • Stay at home and avoid from visiting others
  • Regularly clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces in common areas

In addition to the SOPs, continue to adhere to THiS:

• T: Terms set under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO)
• Hi: High-risk groups such as children, infants, older adults and the disabled must be protected, and if unwell with symptoms, to seek early treatment
• S: Safe physical distancing is practiced at all times, of at least 1 metre away from others

MOH will continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation, both in the country as well as internationally, based on available information from the World Health Organization (WHO). The public will be continuously updated on the latest information. In addition, MOH will ensure that appropriate preventive and control measures are continuously implemented.
