STATUS TERKINI KES DISAHKAN COVID-19 YANG TELAH PULIH

Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa terdapat 19 kes yang telah pulih COVID-19 pada hari ini. Jumlah kumulatif kes yang telah pulih sepenuhnya dari COVID-19 adalah sebanyak 8,803 kes (96.8 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

STATUS TERKINI KES COVID-19 DI MALAYSIA

Sehingga 10 Ogos 2020 pukul 12:00 tengah hari, terdapat 11 kes baharu yang telah dilaporkan. Ini menjadikan jumlah kes positif COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 9,094 kes. Oleh itu, jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan COVID-19 adalah 166 kes. Mereka telah diasingkan dan diberi rawatan.

Ingin dimaklumkan daripada 11 kes baharu yang dilaporkan, lima (5) kes adalah kes import yang telah mendapat jangkitan di luar negara melibatkan semua warganegara Malaysia. Lima (5) kes import tersebut adalah dari negara:

• Australia (3 kes di Selangor);
• Jepun (1 kes di Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur); dan
• Singapura (1 kes di Johor).

Daripada enam (6) kes penularan di dalam negara, lima (5) kes adalah di kalangan warganegara Malaysia dan satu (1) kes adalah bukan warganegara iaitu kes saringan di tempat kerja di negeri Selangor. Beliau tidak bergejala dan telah dimasukkan ke Hospital Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

Perincian baki kes penularan COVID-19 dalam negara di kalangan warganegara Malaysia (5 kes) adalah:

• Johor: satu (1) kes saringan pra pembedahan di sebuah pusat perubatan swasta. Beliau telah dimasukkan ke Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom;
• Perak: tiga (3) kes daripada Kluster Kurau seperti yang diperincikan di bawah;
• Melaka:satu (1) kes saringan kemasukan ke wad di sebuah pusat perubatan swasta. Beliau tidak bergejala dan telah dimasukkan ke Hospital Melaka.

Sehingga kini, terdapat satu (1) kes positif COVID-19 sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU). Tiada kes yang memerlukan bantuan pernafasan.

Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa tiada pertambahan kes kematian berkaitan COVID-19 dilaporkan pada hari ini. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah kekal sebanyak 125 kes (1.37 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

STATUS TERKINI KLUSTER KURAU, PERAK

KKM ingin memaklumkan bahawa tiga (3) lagi kes positif telah dikesan dalam Kluster Kurau. Ketiga-tiga kes positif ini telah dikenalpasti hasil aktiviti pengesanan kes secara aktif (Active Case Detection) dan saringan kontak rapat kes positif kluster ini. Setakat ini, kluster ini telah melibatkan dua buah negeri iaitu negeri Perak dan negeri Pulau Pinang.

Mereka merupakan ahli keluarga kes pertama kluster ini (iaitu kes ke-9050), iaitu adik, biras dan anak saudara beliau yang berumur dua (2) tahun. Kes pertama telah mempunyai kontak rapat dengan kesemua kes baharu ini semasa aktiviti kunjung-mengunjung menjelang Hari Raya Aidiladha iaitu pada 30 Julai 2020.

Anak saudara kes ke-9050 (iaitu kes ke-9093) didapati mempunyai gejala demam dan selesema sejak 30 Julai 2020. Manakala, adik dan biras kes ke-9050 tidak mempunyai sebarang gejala. Ketiga-tiga kes baharu ini telah dimasukkan ke Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Perak.

Setakat ini, seramai 125 orang telah disaring dalam kluster ini. Daripada jumlah ini:

• 5 kes dikesan positif COVID-19;
• 112 negatif; dan
• Lapan (8) masih menunggu keputusan.

Pengesanan kes secara aktif dan saringan kontak rapat masih diteruskan. Punca jangkitan masih di dalam siasatan.

AKTIVITI KUNJUNG-MENGUNJUNG YANG TIDAK MENGIKUT PROSEDUR OPERASI STANDARD (SOP) ADALAH ANTARA SEBAB PENULARAN KES COVID-19

Kluster Sivagangga dan Kluster Kurau merupakan dua kluster yang didapati mencatat pertambahan kes COVID-19 sejak kebelakangan ini, terutamanya selepas musim perayaan. Siasatan yang telah dijalankan melalui aktiviti pengesanan kes secara aktif dan juga saringan ke atas kontak rapat kes, mendapati bahawa penularan jangkitan COVID-19 dalam kedua-dua kluster ini sebahagian besarnya adalah disebabkan oleh aktiviti kunjung-mengunjung semasa musim perayaan. Kebanyakan kes positif kedua-dua kluster ini adalah terdiri daripada ahli keluarga. Golongan warga emas dan juga kanak-kanak turut termasuk dalam kes-kes positif dalam kluster ini, iaitu dalam lingkungan umur dua (2) hingga 70 tahun.

Aktiviti kunjung-mengunjung walaupun kini dibenarkan namun masih tertakluk kepada SOP. Penjarakan fizikal (physical distancing) yang selamat sesama individu sewajarnya diamalkan di semua tempat termasuk di antara ahli keluarga dan sanak saudara. Individu yang tidak sihat atau bergejala tidak sepatutnya mengunjungi ataupun menyertai sebarang kenduri-kendara dan perayaan.

Sejak 1 Ogos 2020, Kerajaan telah mewajibkan orang ramai memakai alat pelitup muka (facemask) di tempat-tempat awam yang sesak dan sempit. Orang ramai juga digalakkan memakai facemask semasa aktiviti kunjung-mengunjung di mana penjarakan fizikal sukar diamalkan. Begitu juga amalan kebersihan kendiri seperti mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun. Nasihat-nasihat ini sekiranya dipatuhi dan diamalkan sepenuhnya dengan disiplin yang tinggi, ianya dapat mengelakkan penularan COVID-19 daripada terus berlaku dan menjangkiti orang tersayang.

NASIHAT KESIHATAN BERKAITAN COVID-19

KKM berharap masyarakat akan terus amalkan nasihat-nasihat yang sering ditekankan oleh KKM sebagai satu kebiasaan baharu dalam kehidupan harian. Antara nasihat-nasihat tersebut adalah seperti berikut:

• Elakkan 3S / 3C :iaitu elakkan kawasan yang sesak (Crowded place), elakkan kawasan yang sempit (Confined space) dan elak sembang atau bertutur dengan jarak yang dekat (Close conversation).

• Amalkan 3W :iaitu kerap mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun (Wash), memakai alat pelitup muka (facemask) di tempat awam yang telah diwajibkan oleh pihak Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) mulai 1 Ogos 2020 atau jika bergejala (Wear), dan (Warn) iaitu amaran dari KKM yang lebih berkonsep peringatan seperti:
  • Elakkan bersalaman / bersentuhan;
  • Amalkan etika batuk dan bersin;
  • Dapatkan rawatan segera jika bergejala;
  • Duduk di rumah dan elakkan kunjung-mengunjung;
  • Lakukan aktiviti disinfeksi dan pembersihan di kawasan yang kerap disentuh.

Patuhlah kepada S.O.P sebagai normal baharu iaitu:

• S :Syarat-syarat seperti yang ditetapkan di bawah Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Pemulihan (PKPP);
• O :Orang yang berisiko tinggi seperti kanak-kanak, bayi, warga emas dan orang kurang upaya (OKU) perlu dilindungi, individu tidak sihat dan bergejala dikehendaki segera menjalani pemeriksaan kesihatan;
• P :Penjarakan fizikal (physical distancing) diamalkan pada setiap masa iaitu sekurang-kurangnya 1 meter.

KKM akan terus memantau perkembangan kejadian jangkitan di dalam negara, dan juga luar negara melalui maklumat yang diperolehi daripada pihak Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO). Orang ramai akan sentiasa dimaklumkan sebarang perkembangan terkini mengenainya. Begitu juga, KKM akan memastikan langkah pencegahan dan kawalan yang sewajarnya adalah dilaksanakan secara berterusan.

SITUATION IN MALAYSIA

Current Status of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Who Have Recovered

The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 19 cases have recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 8,803 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (96.8% of total cumulative cases).

Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia

10 August 2020, 12 pm – a total of 11 additional confirmed COVID-19 case were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 9,094 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 166 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.

Of the 11 additional cases reported today, five (5) are imported cases who were infected overseas, all involving Malaysians. The five (5) imported cases were travellers from the following countries:

• Australia – 3 cases in Selangor
• Japan – 1 case in Kuala Lumpur
• Singapore – 1 case in Johor

Of the six (6) local transmission cases, five (5) cases are among Malaysians and one (1) case is a non-Malaysian – i.e. from a workplace screening in Selangor. The case was asymptomatic and has been admitted into Sungai Buloh Hospital, Selangor.

The details of the local transmission cases among Malaysians (5 cases) are as follows:

• Johor – 1 case: From pre-surgery screening at a private medical centre. The case has been admitted into Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital.
• Perak – 3 cases: From the Kurau Cluster, as detailed below.
• Melaka – 1 case: From ward-admission screening at a private medical centre. The case was asymptomatic and has been admitted into Melaka Hospital.

Currently, only one (1) confirmed COVID-19 case is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU), and no patient is on ventilation support.

No additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there remains 125 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.37% of total cumulative cases).

Current Status of the Kurau Cluster, Perak

MOH would like to inform that three (3) additional confirmed COVID-19 cases have been detected in the Kurau Cluster. All these cases were identified through active case detection and screening of close contacts of this cluster. So far, this cluster has involved two states i.e. Perak and Pulau Pinang.

These additional cases are the family members of the first case of this cluster (Case 9,050) i.e. younger brother, a relative by marriage and a 2-year-old nephew. The first case had close contact with all these cases during the visitation ahead of Hari Raya Aidil Adha celebration on 30 July 2020.

Case 9,095 (nephew to Case 9,050) had fever and flu since 30 July 2020. However, the other two cases were asymptomatic. These additional cases have been admitted into Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital, Perak.

To date, a total of 125 individuals have been screened in this cluster. Of these:

• Five (5) confirmed COVID-19 cases
• 112 individuals tested negative
• 8 individuals awaiting results

Active case detection and screening of close contacts are still ongoing. The cause of the infection for this cluster is still under investigation.

Visitation that do Not Comply with the Standard Operating Procedures is One of the Causes of Transmission of COVID-19 Infection

The Sivagangga PUI Cluster and the Kurau Cluster are two clusters that are recently showing an increasing number of COVID-19 cases, particularly after the festive season. Investigations conducted through active case detection and screening of close contacts found that the transmission of COVID-19 infection in these two clusters were largely due to visitations during the festive season. Most of the confirmed cases of these two clusters are made up of family members. Older adults and children are among those diagnosed positive in this cluster, with the age ranging from 2 to 70 years.

Visitations, although currently allowed, are still subject to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Safe physical distancing from other individuals should be practiced in all places, including between family members and relatives. Individuals who are unwell or symptomatic should not visit others or participate in any feasts and celebrations.

Since 1 August 2020, the Government has made it mandatory for the public to wear facemasks in crowded and confined public places. The public is also encouraged to wear facemasks during visitation and where physical distancing is difficult to practice. Additionally, good self-hygiene practices such as handwashing with soap and water must also be maintained. If these advisories are followed and practiced fully with a high level of self-discipline, these can prevent further transmission of COVID-19 infection in the community and from infecting our loved ones.

Health Advisory on COVID-19

MOH hopes that the public will continue to practice the advisories often emphasised by the MOH as the new normal in daily life. These advisories include:

• Avoid the 3Cs: Avoid Crowded places; Confined spaces; and Close conversations.
• Practice the 3Ws: Wash hands frequently with water and soap; Wearing facemasks are now mandatory in public areas (starting from 1 August 2020 as directed by the National Security Council) or highly recommended if symptomatic; Warn self and others for the following, in line with MOH’s advisories:
  • Avoid shaking hands or touching others
  • Practice good coughing and sneezing etiquette
  • Seek early treatment if symptomatic
  • Stay at home and avoid from visiting others
  • Regularly clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces in common areas

In addition to the SOPs, continue to adhere to THiS:

• T: Terms set under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO)
• Hi: High-risk groups such as children, infants, older adults and the disabled must be protected, and if unwell with symptoms, to seek early treatment
• S: Safe physical distancing is practiced at all times, of at least 1 metre away from others

MOH will continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation, both in the country as well as internationally, based on available information from the World Health Organization (WHO). The public will be continuously updated on the latest information. In addition, MOH will ensure that appropriate preventive and control measures are continuously implemented.
