STATUS TERKINI KES DISAHKAN COVID-19 YANG TELAH PULIH
Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa terdapat 13 kes yang telah pulih COVID-19 pada hari ini. Jumlah kumulatif kes yang telah pulih sepenuhnya dari COVID-19 adalah sebanyak 8,945 kes (96.7 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

STATUS TERKINI KES COVID-19 DI MALAYSIA
Sehingga 21 Ogos 2020 pukul 12:00 tengah hari, terdapat sembilan (9) kes baharu yang telah dilaporkan. Ini menjadikan jumlah kes positif COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 9,249 kes. Oleh itu, jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan COVID-19 adalah 179 kes. Mereka telah diasingkan dan diberi rawatan.
Ingin dimaklumkan daripada sembilan (9) kes baharu yang dilaporkan, empat (4) kes adalah kes import yang telah mendapat jangkitan di luar negara yang melibatkan semua bukan warganegara. Empat (4) kes import tersebut adalah dari negara:
- Filipina (1 kes di Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur);
- Austria (1 kes di Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur);
- Indonesia (1 kes di Selangor); dan
- India (1 kes di Selangor).
Daripada lima (5) kes penularan di dalam negara, empat (4) adalah warganegara Malaysia dan satu (1) bukan warganegara iaitu kes saringan sebelum pulang ke negara asal. Beliau tidak bergejala dan telah dimasukkan ke Hospital Umum Sarawak.
Perincian kes penularan COVID-19 dalam negara di kalangan warganegara Malaysia (4 kes) pula adalah:
- Kedah: tiga (3) kes daripada Kluster Tawar; dan
- Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur: satu (1) kes daripada Kluster Maju (iaitu kluster baharu)
Kedua-dua kluster ini akan diperincikan di bawah.
Sehingga kini, terdapat tujuh (7) kes positif COVID-19 yang sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU), di mana empat (4) kes memerlukan bantuan pernafasan.
Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa tiada pertambahan kes kematian berkaitan COVID-19 dilaporkan pada hari ini. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah kekal sebanyak 125 kes (1.35 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).

KLUSTER MAJU
KKM ingin memaklumkan sebuah kluster baharu yang dikesan di sebuah restoran di Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur. Dua (2) kes pertama kluster ini iaitu kes ke-9176 dan kes ke-9177 telah dilaporkan pada 16 Ogos 2020. Mereka merupakan pekerja di restoran tersebut yang dikesan hasil saringan rawak ke atas pekerja restoran dan kedai makan yang telah dijalankan di sekitar Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur.
Susulan itu, saringan kontak rapat telah dijalankan di mana kes baharu kluster ini yang merupakan pelanggan restoran tersebut telah dikesan. Beliau mengalami gejala sakit tekak dan sakit kepala sejak 17 Ogos 2020 dan telah dimasukkan ke Hospital Sungai Buloh.
Setakat ini, seramai 672 orang telah disaring, termasuk 16 pekerja dan 656 orang pelanggan. Daripada jumlah ini:
- Tiga (3) kes dikesan positif COVID-19; dan
- 669 individu negatif.
Aktiviti pengesanan kes secara aktif (Active Case Detection) dan saringan kontak rapat sedang diteruskan. Langkah pencegahan dan kawalan jangkitan seperti proses nyah kuman dan nyah cemar telah dijalankan di kedai makan tersebut.
STATUS TERKINI KLUSTER TAWAR
Terdapat tiga (3) kes baharu dilaporkan bagi Kluster Tawar di negeri Kedah, justeru menjadikan jumlah kes dikesan positif COVID-19 kluster ini sebanyak 58 kes. Sehingga 21 Ogos 2020 jam 12 tengah hari, seramai 2,733 orang telah disaring dalam kluster ini. Pecahan saringan mengikut negeri yang terbabit adalah seperti berikut:
- Kedah (2,256 disaring):
- 47 kes dikesan positif COVID-19;
- 1,985 individu negatif; dan
- 224 individu masih menunggu keputusan.
- Pulau Pinang (466 disaring):
- 11 kes dikesan positif COVID-19;
- 430 individu negatif; dan
- 25 individu masih menunggu keputusan.
- Perak: 11 disaring dan kesemuanya negatif.
Pengesanan kes dan saringan kontak rapat bagi kluster ini masih diteruskan. Situasi semasa akan dimaklumkan dari semasa ke semasa.
NASIHAT KESIHATAN BERKAITAN COVID-19
KKM ingin menasihatkan orang ramai agar kekal waspada dan terus patuhi saranan serta nasihat-nasihat kesihatan yang sering ditekankan. Jadikanlah nasihat-nasihat ini satu kebiasaan baharu dalam kehidupan harian:
- Elakkan 3S / 3C : iaitu elakkan kawasan yang sesak (Crowded place), elakkan kawasan yang sempit (Confined space) dan elak sembang atau bertutur dengan jarak yang dekat (Close conversation).
- Amalkan 3W : iaitu kerap mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun (Wash), memakai alat pelitup muka (facemask) di tempat awam yang telah diwajibkan oleh pihak Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) mulai 1 Ogos 2020 atau jika bergejala (Wear), dan (Warn) iaitu amaran dari KKM yang lebih berkonsep peringatan seperti:
- Elakkan bersalaman / bersentuhan;
- Amalkan etika batuk dan bersin;
- Dapatkan rawatan segera jika bergejala;
- Duduk di rumah dan elakkan kunjung-mengunjung;
- Lakukan aktiviti disinfeksi dan pembersihan di kawasan yang kerap disentuh.
Patuhlah kepada S.O.P sebagai normal baharu iaitu:
- S : Syarat-syarat seperti yang ditetapkan di bawah Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Pemulihan (PKPP);
- O : Orang yang berisiko tinggi seperti kanak-kanak, bayi, warga emas dan orang kurang upaya (OKU) perlu dilindungi, individu tidak sihat dan bergejala dikehendaki segera menjalani pemeriksaan kesihatan;
- P : Penjarakan fizikal (physical distancing) diamalkan pada setiap masa iaitu sekurang-kurangnya 1 meter.
KKM akan terus memantau perkembangan kejadian jangkitan di dalam negara, dan juga luar negara melalui maklumat yang diperolehi daripada pihak Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO). Orang ramai akan sentiasa dimaklumkan sebarang perkembangan terkini mengenainya. Begitu juga, KKM akan memastikan langkah pencegahan dan kawalan yang sewajarnya adalah dilaksanakan secara berterusan.

UPDATES ON THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)
SITUATION IN MALAYSIA

Current Status of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Who Have Recovered
The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 13 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 8,945 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (96.7% of total cumulative cases).
Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia
21 August 2020, 12 pm – a total of nine (9) additional confirmed COVID-19 case were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 9,249 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 179 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.
Of the nine (9) additional cases reported today, four (4) are imported cases who were infected overseas, all involving non-Malaysians. They were travellers from the following countries:
- Philippines – 1 case in Kuala Lumpur
- Austria – 1 case in Kuala Lumpur
- Indonesia – 1 case in Selangor
- India – 1 case in Selangor
Of the five (5) local transmission cases, four (4) are Malaysians and one (1) non-Malaysian – from a pre-departure screening prior to travelling back to the country of origin. The case was asymptomatic and admitted into Sarawak General Hospital.
The details of the local transmission cases among Malaysians (4 cases) are as follows:
- Kedah – 3 cases: From the Tawar Cluster.
- Kuala Lumpur – 1 case: From the Maju Cluster (new cluster)
Both clusters are detailed below.
Currently, seven (7) confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with four (4) patients on ventilation support.
No additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there remains 125 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.35% of total cumulative cases).
The Maju Cluster
MOH would like to inform that a new cluster was detected at a restaurant in Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur. The first two (2) cases of this cluster, Case 9,176 and Case 9,177, were reported on 16 August 2020. They are workers of the restaurant who were detected from of random screening of restaurant workers conducted around the city of Kuala Lumpur.
Subsequently, screening of close contacts was conducted, and an additional confirmed case in this cluster was detected. The case was a customer of this restaurant, developed symptoms (sore throat and headache) since 17 August 2020 and was admitted into Sungai Buloh Hospital.
To date, a total of 672 individuals have been screened, i.e. 16 workers and 656 customers. Of these:
- Three (3) confirmed COVID-19 cases
- 669 individuals tested negative
Active case detection and screening of close contacts are ongoing. Prevention and control measures such as disinfection and decontamination have been carried out at the restaurant.
Current Status of the Tawar Cluster
Three (3) additional confirmed COVID-19 cases are reported in the Tawar Cluster today, bringing the cumulative number to 58 confirmed COVID-19 cases. As of 21 August 2020, 12 pm, a total of 2,733 individuals have been screened in this cluster. The breakdown of screening by states involved is as follows:
- Kedah (2,256 individuals screened):
- 47 confirmed COVID-19 cases
- 1,985 individuals tested negative
- 224 individuals awaiting results
- Pulau Pinang (466 individuals screened):
- 11 confirmed COVID-19 cases
- 430 individuals tested negative
- 25 individuals awaiting results
- Perak (11 individuals screened):
- All 11 individuals tested negative
Active case detection and screening of close contacts for this cluster are still ongoing. The current situation will be updated from time to time.
Health Advisory on COVID-19
MOH advices the public to remain vigilant and continue to follow the recommendations and health advisories that are often emphasised. These advisories must be incorporated as the new normal in our daily life, including:
- Avoid the 3Cs: Avoid Crowded places; Confined spaces; and Close conversations.
- Practice the 3Ws: Wash hands frequently with water and soap; Wearing facemasks is now mandatory in public areas (starting from 1 August 2020 as directed by the National Security Council) or highly recommended if symptomatic; Warn self and others for the following, in line with MOH’s advisories:
- Avoid shaking hands or touching others
- Practice good coughing and sneezing etiquette
- Seek early treatment if symptomatic
- Stay at home and avoid from visiting others
- Regularly clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces in common areas
In addition to the SOPs, continue to adhere to THiS as the new normal:
- T: Terms set under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO)
- Hi: High-risk groups such as children, infants, older adults and the disabled must be protected, and if unwell with symptoms, to seek early treatment
- S: Safe physical distancing is practiced at all times, of at least 1 metre away from others
MOH will continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation, both in the country as well as internationally, based on available information from the World Health Organization (WHO). The public will be continuously updated on the latest information. In addition, MOH will ensure that appropriate preventive and control measures are continuously implemented.
